I have literally two seconds of video from a documentary in 1977 of a natural formation that is no longer in an area you’re allowed to fly over. The whole area I need images from is sectioned off from the public entirely now.
So I used QuickTime Pro to dump that 2 seconds of video to a series of images, and thanks to RealityCapture, I now have a very accurate model of the formation!
I know it doesn’t look like much, but it’s a part of the overall model I had no way of getting otherwise. I can combine that with the areas you can see from a distant road (which includes most of the other side) and I’m pretty much set!
