Because, based on your posts, I can tell you don’t want people to learn Unreal through means of like, say YouTube for example.

I’m getting the impression that you’re one of the hardcore perfectionists when it comes to UE. Any way to do it differently makes you foam at the mouth. All I asked for was for help and this is how you act; yelling at someone simply because in your words, I don’t learn Unreal the right way, but what is the right way really? People learn from the forums, sure, but like most things in life, you learn as you go.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is how you act towards other people, let alone newbies who are just getting started and who actually want to learn UE.

If I had to guess, you pretty much have a history of lashing out at people just because their method is different.

I mean the web is huge, from Udemy, to Coursera, to countless Youtube channels that actually dig into the meat of what they want to teach you. The Unreal forums are just a drop in a sea of helpful material.

I can troubleshoot errors but some errors are more complex than they appear at first glance. I just learned that it’s no reason for me to lose my cool. Guess keeping a lid on one’s emotions doesn’t count, huh?

Literally asked for help here and someone goes out of their way to say “Why are you stupid?” At least someone helped me the first time around when I started out more than 6 months ago. Since then, I didn’t ask questions…until now.

pm me link to the course you have issue with i have a look

Where can I dm you?

here on forum or paste link here to that specific course this issue is from

Here you go, I’m halfway through the second module already on my final course.

thanks, i see course, could you upload your project to google drive i have a look since would have to follow whole tutorial all the way to your stealth issue , they dont provide project files

Gotcha, upload took a while but here it is.

I can’t believe you are still going on about this.

Look. If after looking up the 2 things I mentioned you still can’t get things to run, coding in general is most definitely not the thing you want to do.

We already have enough trouble fixing fuckups from dumb AIs in this industry. Last thing we need is inexperienced devs which will then use the brainless slop ai generates and make it even worse.

You either apply your self and actually learn like anyone else, or cut your losses; At this point it’s obvious that it’s not just an attitude problem but an aptitude one.

And for the record: there is nothing wrong with learning from any source so long as you actually learn. Obviously the course is trash and you can’t learn. That’s a horrible combination. React accordingly and mostly quit your whining.

I’m done trying to waste time with you. I am actually learning.

Look, I get it, I hate generative AI as much as the next person in line but that’s no excuse to attack someone.

Don’t bother typing out another argument, you’re just humiliating yourself now.

Unbelievable how someone can just pounce on a newbie for actually trying to put in the effort. At least I’m trying to complete my final course. Second module of my final course is like a 108 learning items but I usually do like 5-6 items as best I can and I work with my instructors.

It’s like attacking someone for paying with cash instead of paying with their card.

You are joking, right?
If not, this is sheer ridiculousness.

Even a 5 year old would have been able to debug this in 10 minutes by following basic tutorials.

What you are doing is leeching. OR worse, waiting for someone to spoon-feed you.

You definitely aren’t learning either. Wasting everyone’s time: that you are very successful at.

Do you just go out of your way and act like this all the time?

I’m genuinely curious if this is the person you turned out to be.

Do you normally go around wasting everyone’s time with silly stuff and double down on acting entitled?
I’m genuinely curious what McDonald you have to work at for a living.

Thanks to the people who tried to help me btw.

thanks for the link, unpacked and installed 5.3 , weirdly i have no issues, stealth works on my pc

walks slowly in stealth then normal walk without. try to right click on your Coursera folder and fix redirectors and validate assets ,perhaps some stalled reference somewhere but i cant see issue you are having. all the best

Ah, glad it works on your end. The slow backwards walk is intentional, as I did implement a walk speed penalty when moving backwards during my 5th course.

And yeah, the slow walk during stealth? That’s part of the stealth state. If you left click with a weapon, you’ll be put into the combat state.

But yeah, this happens with the magic attacks, so when you press your E-key, that’s when it triggers the error.

As a placeholder, I’m using a mace for what should be a wand, model’s about the same size as one.
