Hey Guys,

It’s Oscar Sunday and the 87th Academy Awards will be taking place this evening. But just two weeks ago, our core development team won a Sci-Tech Academy Award for Cinema. We thought this week would be a good time to celebrate with you guys.

Why is an award for movies relevant to game development?

We were awarded the Sci-Tech Academy Award partially due to ’s involvement in movies like Avatar and Noah. When ILM called us and first asked for help, we did more than simply provide the software. We adapted it to meet the needs of the VFX artists and in doing so we rebuilt ’s DNA to be a more capable and intuitive modeling tool. This software shares 95% of its code with our subscription Modeler, so while you may not be making a movie, you are in fact using Academy Award winning software.

Just tried the coupon again and it doesn’t work (came back with coupon expired). I know it says expires 2/27 - I’m assuming it expires at the end of today, not 11:59p on 2/26.
