Lanscape does not render after changes to LOD

You aren’t changing the LOD. You are changing the render distance.
Setting it to 1000 would be equal to 10 meters. So it won’t show up as you saw. But setting it back to 0 should definitely make it visible again. I would consider this a bug myself.

Just a side note. It’s 2019. Don’t use bandicam. Use something like ShareX.

Are you saying the default setting not being the same as what’s shown on screen as the bug? Because there wasn’t a bug in the video.

And without LOD, optimization is bad

The bug in the video is that setting the Max Draw Distance back to it’s default of 0. Should make the object visible at any distance. Whereas it doesn’t.

I think there is some confusion here. In the video you posted. You don’t alter the LOD at all.
The value you alter has nothing to do with Level of Detail. It only affects the Maximum Distance at which the object will be rendered.

If you are trying to reduce the complexity of the landscape at a distance, I would look at the “LOD Distribution” section in the details panel. LOD 0 specifically.
