4.6.1 crashes after launch on HP laptop

You should be able to workaround the issue by adding
MinTextureResidentMipCount=7
in the [TextureStreaming] section in BaseEngine.ini
For some reason this seems to be missing. Maybe the installation failed (e.g. .ini file couldn’t be overwritten because of some permissing rights). It could be just the first issue of many. You might have to make a clean installation, maybe delete user settings and copy your existing content back into after you verify the build works.
We fixed the engine to not respond with the crash if the ini is missing - it might be a while until that reaches the public builds.
