Hi gisnet, your vote was also added
I would also love this feature to be added. It would blow Matterport out of the water to offer 360 cam interiors with the excellent exterior meshes RC is capable of creating
I have seen a company that added a Matterport tag link to connect there exterior scan but they had to use about 3 different softwares that all cost moneyā¦
An all-in-one solution would kill the competition because no other software can compete with RC quality
Dear Asset Double, you vote was added to this request.
Please add this feature. This would be extremely handy to have.
LoafMan, your vote was also added.
Feature request vote. Seems in very high demand and losing potential enterprise customers for it!
Any estimates on time frame for 360deg image support?
VantageUAV you vote was added. Unfortunately I am not suppose to give you the ETA of this feature.
It is perhaps the maths rather than any other issue why this has not been implemented. I suspect that 360 derived models cannot be of the same order of reliability as other photogrammetrically derived models. Nice to have does not equate with easy to have. Please prove me wrong.
Feature request vote, please add this feature. currently there is a workaround using alicevision/metashape module to split the 360 photo to sub photos, then reimport back to RC, but its difficult moving back and forth big amount of images
All requests are being added into our system, which improves the priority of the feature requests.
As Insepes 1 said, back-end of this feature may be tricky, so it make take some time before this feature is implemented.
You can also add me to the list
On the other hand⦠years ago I experimented with going back from a sperical image to 6 seperate images.
If you think about it⦠itās not that difficult.
Picture a cube representing front, back, left, right, up and down on each face as texture.
Use the sperical image as sperical projection on the cube and extract each face as a seperate image.
Not sure what the distortion will do with photogrammetry but I guess with enough overlap that can also be calculated.
I donāt really see the problem why itās not supported yet
