There’s a little arrow faced downward near to “Compile” button, press on it and the list’ll show up;
Go to “Save on Compile” section and choose “Never” (in case “On success only” is already being chosen, otherwise choose “On success only”);
Go to that section again and choose “On success only”;
After all previous steps were done, make some minor changes (add any BP node or move some, it doesn’t really matter what to do - just make some changes, so you’ll be notified by a “star” appearing next to the name of this bp in the tab);
Hit “Compile”;
Congratulations! The editor should have crashed after successfully following this instruction.
It’s not really a problem, but I do think that this is a bug, so I report that.
Thank you for providing the video. Can you reproduce this same crash in a clean blueprint, or is it only happening in that particular blueprint? I tried it in a basic actor blueprint, but I did not receive any errors.
After some further investigation, I have discovered that we have two bug reports in our system (UE-27856) and (UE-27509) that relate to the issues you were experiencing. Both of these are reported as fixed, and the fixes will be available in a later version.
In the meantime, I recommend saving manually after each compile to avoid running into any issues.
