Background Color in Montage view

I was trying to screen record some characters on a background for some small gifs. For this I used the Montage editor and set the background color but found that it was very tricky. It seemed that no mater what I put in, something incorrect would come out. This applies to darker colors and even primary colors (#FF0000 - Red outputs as #d70606 ) This is assuming that the color is in RGBA

What I did

  1. Under Show->scene setup->Uncheck Floor
  2. Under Show->scene setup->Uncheck Sky
  3. Under Show->scene setup->Click the background color box and choose a color.

Hey Justin,

This is a known and reported issue. Currently, we have fixed the default color value to display the gamma corrected color by default. This has been fixed and will be integrated in the upcoming full engine release.

Entering the HEX code value for colors is also a known and reported issue UE-1366. In the meantime, you can simply select the sRGB as a workaround. :slight_smile:

Thank you,

Just wanted to make sure it was reported either way.

I Tried the RGB values as well but they output incorrect results too. Either way, I color matched via trial and error for the time being :wink:
