RenderTools: Performance Volumes is a powerful system that lets you dynamically adjust console variables (CVars) when the player enters specific areas in your level. Whether it’s improving lighting quality near the player or disabling costly features indoors, this system helps you fine-tune rendering behavior in real time - with full control.

🔥 Smarter Optimization, Per Area

Instead of relying solely on global scalability settings, Performance Volumes allow you to override or modify CVars in specific areas.

Enter a room? Disable volumetric clouds. Step into a tight corridor? Increase Lumen quality.

All overrides are customizable and support scalability-based logic or forced overrides - your choice.

🧠 Built for Real Game Scenarios

Large open-worlds. Performance-heavy interiors. Cutscenes. VR/console ports. This tool adapts to any scenario where you want rendering control without touching blueprints or config files.

🛠️ Key Features

🧱 Modular Volume System – Each volume supports multiple CVars, categorized by scalability type (GI, Shadows, etc.)

🔁 Scalability-Linked or Forced Overrides – You decide: adapt to quality settings or override them entirely.

🔍 Per-Category Support – Works with Global Illumination, Reflections, Shadows, Textures, and more.

📦 Multiple CVar Entries – Each volume can affect multiple settings at once with clean, readable setup.

📜 All CVars Supported – Use any console command, even those not linked to scalability.

👥 Who Is This Tool For?

🔹 Developers looking to fine-tune rendering based on player location

🔹 Optimization specialists targeting heavy zones

🔹 Level designers setting up cutscene/hero areas

🔹 Indie teams needing tight performance control

🔹 VR & console projects where every millisecond counts

💡 Imagine having "scalability zones" in your level, instead of only relying on global settings. This tool gives you that.
