Building Information
Casarão Costa Azevedo is an historic mansion located in the city of Recife, capital of the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It currently functions as a social area of the building of the same name.
The building was designed by the Italian architect Giácomo Palumbo, with stained glass windows by the German Heinrich Moser. It belonged to the industrialist Antônio da Costa Azevedo, former owner of the Catende Plant, which in 1929 was the largest in Latin America in production and capacity.
