A solo truck with a generic European design with paintable cab and three paintable optional bodies: a Box, a Cistern and a Platform with rigged sides.
The model is designed to fit a 3D shooter game in a modern industrial or urban environment - or any other genre that requires detailed traffic models for a close look. Unlimited paint options and different bodies with easy setup allow numerous reuse of the model in the city streets, in a warehouse parking, or on a highway.
The truck is rigged including bones for steering. suspension, and crank, and can be animated for cutscenes or player control.
The main blueprint is set up for easy customization and light control.
Hey, I just bought the model, it looks great but sadly it’s aligned with X- forward, which is the opposite of Unreal’s standard (X+ forward). Not following the convention also leads to issues when using the truck with Chaos Vehicle Physics (it drives the wrong way).
Could you maybe fix this, and align the truck with X+? I could do it myself by exporting/importing to Blender, but I think it’d be better if you solved it on your side, as other customers could benefit from this change.
I can now drive the truck! I had to tweak the physics asset to get what I wanted, but at least now it’s driving the correct way.
For future readers who may be wondering: no drivable BP is provided within the pack, but the mesh is fully compatible with the Chaos Vehicle System, and if you have some experience with that, making the truck drivable is fairly straightforward.
