For the most part, yes you can just add it and fill in the names. It also needs access to a isCrouching and isRunning variable in your character, but that is pretty common to have.
It does work in multiplayer, and I am working on an update so you can enable the complex trace on your local character, and all others will use the simple single line trace. The Simple trace does require the IK Bones though.
