Not sure if everybody is getting this, but after installing V268.3 from Google, my ADK crashes when selecting the Event Graphs of custom DinoBPs. Opens as normal if opening a Vanilla Dino, but crashed on 3 custom Dinos tested.
Problem persists even after verifying from the Launcher and then extracting the .zip again.
I’ve got the same issue, seems the class viewer is not set up correctly?
[edit] Figured it out: temporarily disabling your virus scanner when you extract the Dev Kit diff with winzip, 7zip etc makes all the difference. It seems the virus scanner heuristics flag a problem (false positive of course) when extracting…
Hello there, totally new to dev kit.
Can someone explain what exactly means to “extract those files ON TOP of the Epic Launcher installation”?
How do you do it?
Thanks : )
Some of us are not able to COOK the mod because it repeatedly crashes. Clean install of the DevKit doesn’t help.
It is also taking me up to FOUR HOURS to get the PIE to start up, and before this update, it was taking 5 minutes for the same exact mod. Sorry, but this update is broken.
The UE4-ShooterGame Commandlet has crashed and will close
It is the Shaders compiling in the background… you can find that in the Windows Task Manager, it will get past that, one of my mods that is normally under 8 minute cook time was almost 3 hours.
@** Kotawolf - Yes I found this out but not only does in do it once but twice, it compiles the shaders for the Windows version then recompiles them over again for the Linux version.
I tried this on a small mod of mine that usually takes 30 minutes to cook but this time it took a staggering 19 hours, I am hoping it is a once only thing and that consequent mods will revert to normal, I am checking that now.
Not looking good been cycling on the Display:Full GC just before the Linux cook for nearly 40 minutes. Now been cycling for 1 hour
Now been cycling on the same bit for 2 hours, It is now 4 hours cycling the same part which to me is proof that this update is broken without a shadow of a doubt.
So this is not a once only thing, if it is going to be recompiling shaders for EVERY mod you cook then it is a waste of time making them, no-one and I mean NO-ONE is going to spend 19+ hours cooking a mod.
Shame there is nowhere at all to report these problems to the actual people who put it out, maybe that is intentional, I don’t know.**
i have the same Problem i needed only for a Mod Max 25mins for cooking , but after the Aberration Update unknow so i let my Pc over night powererd for cooking…
After 8 hour’s no result i canceled
I looked yesterday in the Task Manager the Task from Dev kit work by me with 8-12 gb Ram and after reach to full gc the second time the Point it come after few minutes “Job Successful” , but after the Update it is stuck on the Point and i wondering why…
I hope the fix it soon or call the Reason for this stupidity Problem…
