Souce code on github unavailable?

Hi - I just subscribed to the UE4 engine and I am following this wiki in order to access the source code on GitHub:

I have associated my GitHub account with my Unreal Engine account and I have received an email stating that I have successfully added github association to my Epic Games account.
However, when I go to

https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine

I get a 404. Am I missing something or is this wiki outdated?

Are you logged in to GitHub? It may take a bit to get active in case you did all well.

Yes, I am logged into GitHub. I do find it strange to get a 404 when trying to access the source code. I would expect a page telling me that I don’t have access if that’s the problem.

Is Epic Games listed a team in your GitHub profile page (github.com/youusername)?

Hey w€$th,

After associating your GitHub and Unreal Engine accounts you should receive an email at the address used to sign up for Github inviting you to join the Epic Games Organization. You can follow the instructions in the email or, if you are logged into GitHub, you can goto this link (Epic Games · GitHub) and there should be a green Join button in the upper right of the page. Checking that Epic Games is listed in your GitHub profile as Moss suggested is another way to confirm that the Unreal Engine/Github account association was successful.

Cheers,

Now that the engine is free is there even a need to keep the GitHub repo private?

I just received the invitation to join Epic Game Organization a few minutes ago and now I got full access to the source. Thanks for your replies.

i got this in github:

This organization has no public repositories.

Still listed as a private repository, presumably you only have to have an Unreal login/password to access it.

Hey Inverness-

The GitHub repo does need to remain private. As dinker99 mentioned, this is to ensure that someone trying to access the source code has taken the time to create an account at www.unrealengine.com.
