Multiple 4.4.1 Errors with Steps/Screenshots. Unable to move forward

I’ve been working with a team on a project now since 4.1 all the way through 4.4.1 (github). We’ve had numerous warnings/errors that have been addressed in the past. We are now facing a few more, 1 in which is a show stopper for us. We cannot continue to edit a blueprint unless we force a crash/restart which is very annoying/time consuming.

I’ve provided a word document that shows our struggles along with steps and screenshots below:

And here is the link to our project files (minus audio) to save on space:

Please help us figure out what we can do to fix this.

Thank you so much for your time,

Would just like to keep this at the top. I’m not sure if these eventually get put into a bug tracking system or how it works but we are unable to make progress. Is there a better way to get this bug into the system?

Hi ,

I was able to reproduce the issues that you described, and I have some information about the crash specifically. I reproduced the crash successfully in version 4.4.1, but when I tried to reproduce it using our latest internal build, the crash did not occur. I did a little research and it looks like one of our developers recently submitted a fix for a nearly identical crash that another user had been experiencing. Since you are using a version of the Engine built from source code, I would suggest integrating this change into your Engine and see if it takes care of the crash you are seeing.

I am still looking into the other issue involving not being able to successfully save a Blueprint unless another Blueprint is saved first. I will update when I have some more information about that.

Nice. This fix addresses the issue where I have to shutdown (via crash) and restart. Thank you for the information. Please let me know what you find for the other issues. Thanks!

Hi ,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this issue. I just had a to retry working with the sample project you provided. I was still able to see the error message that you described in version 4.5 of the Engine. However, I ran into some build errors when upgrading to 4.6 that will probably take me a while longer to sort out. I did notice that the error message provided in 4.5 is slightly different from what you had mentioned. Have you been able to upgrade your project to 4.6 yet?

I’m on 4.6 with the following bug submitted that apparently is in the bug queue…

I just checked the status of the ticket that was mentioned in the post you linked. It is still open, but it has a fairly high priority attached to it. I added myself to the ticket so I can keep an eye on it.
