UE4 crash after importing .T3D static mesh transforms

I want to import .T3D files containing prop instances and transforms into UE4 to place static mesh instances.

Issue:

UE4 crashes after importing T3D files in 4.7.

repro steps:

  1. Open new starter content default level. Select chair and table static meshes

  2. right click - edit - copy

  3. paste into notepad

  4. file - save as - test.t3d

  5. ue4 - file - import - test.t3d

  6. after importing the t3d, my props appear, but there is unexpected additional appearance of new “level blueprint” node

  7. in UE4 make Levels window visible

  8. 100% crash

.t3d import requires Name parameter in Map and Level headings:
