You will need to create a D:\ Drive.
To do so will require you to make a partition.
- Go to the control panel
- Then go to Disk Partitions
Now comes the part you have to be careful about.
If You Have An Unallocated Drive Already Skip To 4.
Looks Like This
- Right click on the (C:) and select Shrink Volume.
Now wait until the querying disk space thing is done and a dialouge opens up.
It will ask how much MB to remove from the hard drive.
There write 40000 (40GB) (I understand you dont need that much but in case plus all the data will be there and will get bigger the more you use Unreal so 40GB is good)
-
Now you should have a Unallocated Drive as shown in the picture before.
Now right click the unallocated drive and select New Simple Volume.
a dialogue should have opened. Click next. Now make sure the number was 40000 not anything else. if so then click next. Assign the following letter D:\ ONLY. Remember That D:\ Drive Is Needed So Assign the letter D!!
If it is D click next, if not Click The Letter and choose from the list. -
Now select format this volume with the following settings and Do the following as shown in the picture.
Now click next.
It will now list all your settings, click finish.
Your Done!
If it didnt work, please re-read my steps and to make sure it worked, AutoPlay will open and tell you that D:\ drive is “Plugged” in. And when you open Windows Explorer you will find a new Drive Called Unreal Engine (D:)
Thanks For Listening
