Datasmith lights - severe impact to FPS

Is there something I can do to optimize lights coming in from max/vray via datasmith? In the current scene, they have a massive impact on the FPS I get and I'm not sure why. Is it how they are built/translated from Max? Is there anything I can do to optimize them? The lights in Max are all instances when they can be. Is it their shadowing? I'm not using raytracing currently in this scene, though there are plans to enable it.

For now, it looks like I may have to be replacing all of the lights in Unreal as the FPS hit I get with these is not ideal.

I did some testing and it is indeed the shadows that impact the FPS. Is there anyway to optimize this or change the shadow type? What types of shadows do these use as default?
