Imported Datasmith objects do not respect enabled collision

    its better to apply collision after import, u have more precise control of collision to start and end to FirstPersonCharacter view.

  • Imported Datasmith objects do not respect enabled collision

    I'm a long time Max user and new time Unreal/Datasmith user. So I'm just getting my feet wet. When I import objects using Datasmith Unreal does not respect enabled collision. The FirstPersonCharacter will walk through walls and fall through floors. If I import using FBX then collision behaves normally. From what I can tell the settings for both the Datasmith and FBX objects are exactly the same. And the scene is pretty darn simple. Box for a floor and one box for a wall. I'm sure there is a checkbox somewhere that is not checked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
