    Blueprint Spawning Volume

    Overview



    Are you having trouble figuring out how to spawn players in your game? Are you sick of the static single point spawns supplied by the Unreal Engine? This might just be the package for you.

    This package contains a fully flexible blueprint spawning volume accompanied by a lot of supporting content that demonstrates the spawning volume itself as well as its uses in a multiplayer death match and team death match game type scenario, each with their own unique logic for spawning players within the game.


    100% done in blueprints all fully commented where necessary to explain the logic flow and design, as well as to ensure full understanding for beginners to Unreal Engine to take full advantage of this package.

    The entire package will be set at $9.99 and any additional content added after release to the Marketplace will be free.


    Additional Information



    This thread will be updated during submission as well as into the future after release.

    Suggestions for additional features, changes or request is very much welcome as development will continue after Marketplace release.

      Unfortunately the submission process is taking longer than expected.

            Release date has been set for the 9th of September, not much longer now.

                  This package has been updated to Version 4.9

                  It includes a few bug fixes with the Showcase levels concerning the Texturing and some corrupted Static Mesh actors.

                    how would i go about setting the spawn volumes up to spawn ai?

                      The spawning volume is configured to Spawn any Actor of your choice by calling the function node SpawnActorWithinVolume from the specific spawning volume you want that Actor to spawn at.

                      So you would build your AI Character as per your specifications and then one option would be to use that function node.

                      Alternatively, the spawning volume can also simply return a World Space Location Vector using the function node GetRandomLocationWithinVolume. You can use this to get the spawn location for a given spawning volume and then feed that value into your own SpawnActorFromClass node.

                      The Level Blueprint on the Showcase level demonstrates some simple spawning logic, as well as the GameType blueprint classes on the additional Showcase levels to see how i used it to spawn various Actors.

                        i tried that but it spawns the ai but the ai does not function as in using its pawn sensing component?

                          Make sure that your AIs Pawn is Auto Possessed when Placed in the World or Spawned.

                          By default your AI will only be possessed when it is placed in the world, not when it is spawned dynamically during runtime.
