i'm a Unity user interested in Unreal, i have made this Unity plugin which is an advanced path following and a procedural mesh generation tool, i'm wondering what you guys think about porting this to unreal, would that be interesting

else40 Adjusted the title to add the 'Gauging Interest' tag.

      Also, that's pretty cool.

Doesn't Unreal already have this built in with spline meshes?

"i have made this Unity plugin"

Unity's forums would be the right section.

There are other UE4 plugins and assets that were originally created for Unity that were later ported to Unreal and offered up on the Unreal Marketplace.

This seems like as good a place as any to ask about porting it.
But I'm just a volunteer moderator.
I'll let an official staff member know and they can step in if they feel it is inappropriate.

JohnMakesGames Yes, UE4 includes splines already, but this is a tool for doing more with them.
At the moment, spline can't be easily branched or snapped together etc.
Any tool that adds the ability is a good thing IMHO.
Its actually something I've had to sit down and tackle recently, in an effort to make replace our crappy actor based waypoint based paths to nicer spline based ones.
Problem is trying to get the **** things to join together quickly etc.

BlackFangTech hi i'm trying to see if unreal users are interested in having such a tool in the marketplace, the tool can create spline objects with unlimited number of branches and can successfully handles multiple followers transition between branches,
all this in one spline object
JohnMakesGames hi as i have explained above and as Kris explained spline mesh deform is doing some very specific work on splines
spline plus is used to achieve advanced path following ,it offers the possibility of creating a spline with multiple branches and successfully ensure the multiple followers transition between branches,
Spline mesh deform, is a procedural mesh generation tool that uses spline plus as a spline system, this means that you can procedural generate meshes on a spline with multiple branches ,which is something new, i haven't seen around yet in both marketplace and asset store ,
please check the video if you haven't yet ,

SDVenom Saw your tool when it popper up and shared with our projects artist/mapper straight away

This is interesting to me for being able to branch and its possible use with AI.
