Nel fare un video registrando sequenze con la versione 4.23 il level sequencer invece di renderizzarmi il video impostato sulle nuove camere, mi registra il video della camera del character, perchè?

Hey Simona Alesi! It sounds like you need to switch the active camera in sequencer from the one attached to the actor, to the new one you added. Take a look at this tutorial (https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/...Cut/index.html) and some of the other sequencer ones to help guide you through this.

Hello. I've been struggling for setting air absorption of the sound attenuation.

I don't know why MinRange doesn't work If I set this over 0. (like -300, -value works but 10 or 3000 is X)
I've known min-MAX range is the distance between where the actual air absorption start-ends.
LPF HPF min-MAX works ok. But can anyone tell me if i knew wrong.

    Thank you.

When viewing the "Unreal Engine 4 For Unity Developers" page, the code in the "Scriptable Actor Blueprint Classes" section is mostly hidden by the "What's on this page" box on the right of the screen, making it useless. An option to minimise this box would be great, as it's not needed when just reading through the page and takes up a lot of screen space.

Hey EachAbyss! Thanks for the recommendation. I've had a few people request the ability to adjust/hide the fields on the left and right of the page. I'll pass this along and see what we can do. Please let me know if you come across anything else we should look into.

Am I missing something? It doesn't require anything in order to setup guide for creating main menus, but literally in first step we have to open MainMenu Widget Blueprint which we didn't create as per guide.

I think we have to have a bit more clarification here.

Hey psanatovs! Thanks for reaching out to us. The guide referenced in the note above (i.e. UMG UI Quick Start Guide) walks you through creating a MainMenu Blueprint. It looks like the Creating a Main Menu guide continues off what was started in UMG UI Designer Quick Start Guide. But I understand what you're saying. Let me hop in there and see if I can't clear it up.

Hey philboltt! Thanks for passing this along. It looks like the links are working, the images just aren't displaying properly. If you click on the links, they should show the image they're meant to. Either way, I've pass this along so we can look into it. Thanks again and please let us know if you find anything else you think we should look into.

Hello, the documentation pages for dynamic delegates, events, and multi-cast delegates are currently broken and just return to the docs main page:

    https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/...mic/index.html
    https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/...nts/index.html
    https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/...ast/index.html

The base page for Delegates is fine though:
    https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/...tes/index.html

Hey king_archery13! Are you following something like the Procedural Foliage Tool Quick Start guide? I just searched and was able to find the Open World Demo Collection on the UE Marketplace (Launch the Epic Games Launcher > Click the Marketplace tab > Search for "Open World Demo Collection in the"). Please let me know if you're still having trouble!

Hey guys. Great work on the new documentation! Your efforts are much appreciated. The links about C++ Delegates, Multicast Delegates, and Events seem to be broken. Clicking on them redirects to the home of the documentation page. It's important topic so I decided to let you know

    Best regards.

Followed the linux unreal engine build guide, everything worked like a charm!

I have build two versions 4.24 and 4.25, the former one however crashes sometimes

Hey demoth! I'm glad to hear the Linux guide was so helpful!

I'm also sorry to hear about 4.24 crashing sometimes. For help with UE4 crashes, I'd suggest checking out answers.unrealengine.com. You can check to see if anyone else has had similar troubles, or post questions for help. For anything document-related, please feel free to ping us in this thread!

https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/...ter/index.html Knowing this, we use a dot product to generate a range from 0-1 as a threshold to define when something should be hard versus soft. For example, a value closer to 1 would mean that the angle is larger resulting in a hard edge while closer to 0 would mean a soft edge. This information is then used to generate groups of normals which share soft edges. For each of these groups, we smooth the normals across the faces creating smooth faces. if you do dot product between two ( normalized ) normals, the smaller the angle the value is closer to 1.

Hey barakooda.com! Thanks for reaching out to us. I'll pass this feedback along to see what we can do about updating this page. Please let us know if you spot anything else you think we should look into!

Hello, the docs page for FString is broken now (it redirects to a blank main page):
    https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/...ing/index.html

Separately from that, one thing really disrupts my usage of the docs: every single day, the first time I want to use documentation search, the site bounces me back to the unrealengine.com main page and asks me to log in. Then once I do log in, I'm stuck at the main page, and I must backtrack to the docs page I was at, and re-type my search query manually.

This is a large recurring waste of my time, and it's easily preventable. First, when I get a login redirect, that login should bring me to the page I tried to access, not to the main page. Second, my login has no reason to expire every day in the first place, just keep me logged in forever. And third, the docs search has no reason to require a login in the first place, especially when the actual docs content pages don't require one - just remove that login requirement.

Hey TheloTheGreat! Thanks for pointing that page out to us. I've seen a few pages redirecting like that, and we're looking into it.

As for having to log into the docs site, that's really strange. When I use docs.unrealengine.com I don't have to log in to search. Any chance this is a local issue (i.e. your browser's cookies/cache)? I can ask around and see if there are any restrictions on our end.

This looks like a styling issue that is causing the sidebar to overlay the content. I will look into fixing it.

Could I upload to the Facebook gaming platform a project made in UE4? In which format may I have to export the project?

Hey DaveGRomo! Thanks for reaching out to us. You might have better luck posting your question to answers.unrealengine.com. This thread is more for feedback on our documentation site. The Answers page has pretty high traffic, and there are a bunch of people on their that should be able to help you figure things out.
