      Edit: I tried a rebuild and clean in VS but still failed to compile. So I deleted everything in the engine folder and downloaded 4.24.2 source as a zip, extracted it into the folder and was able to compile. I usually just pull the new version with git. So there must of been something left behind in the folders from previous builds affecting the compile.
      Yes. Had same problem. You need to get back the files from the prior version as they are not included in this latest hotfix. I use Sourcetree to pull down the release so I was able to select the ispc file(s) and get them back.

          I'm compiling the 4.24.2 release source from github. I get missing symbols and the build fails.

          I've already added bCompileChaos = true and bUseChaos = true to UE4Editor.Target.cs but that doesn't seem to do anything. Also get the same result if set both booleans to false.

          Not sure what do here. Anyone know how I can fix this?

            How do we use chaos in unreal engine 4.24? The chaos project wont open.. it asks me to compile and then fails. Is chaos even functional in 4.24? I see a lot of posts about it possibly not working at all in 4.24

                4.24.2 does not have the ispc and isph files for whatever reason. 4.24.1 did. I fixed my problem with my version control to get the files back.

                  Initially I just did a pull on the release branch but that build failed with the same errors you are getting. I ended up removing everything (entire UnrealEngine folder) and pulling the branch again, it then built correctly.

                    Hi, After upgrading from 4.23 to 4.24 All alembic files are slow and broken.
                    They may play for a few seconds then just stop and break apart.

                    After selecting each asset and reloading they seemed to work fine... bit this created a new issue, I now cannot save anything I get the following error message

                    "The asset XXXXXX .uassset failed to save
                    cancel, retry or continue"

                    So then I completely removed all the assets files and references and started again, painfully importing my alembics as fresh new files, and this worked!, and allowed me to save.

                    .... but then a day later I was extremely disappointed to see these alembics are now broken again after reopening the files.

                    After trying everything I can multiple times, I went back to version 4.23 which everything works as expected
                    I also tried 4.24.1 to 4.24.2 and still same problem

                    Thank you, would really appreciate a fix for this,

                          The Linux spline mesh issue I reported previously actually turned out to be a general Vulkan RHI issue that affects Windows too (if you set your project to Vulkan as the default renderer). I submitted case #00153356 to follow that up - I reproduced with Nvidia driver 441.66.

                          Here's a screenshot of the issue, essentially the same as the artefacts on Linux:
