    Yes your problem is genuine. I mentioned it in 2nd para..
    But simple error like yours shouldn't be left unfixed.. it would be unacceptable if it is only fixed in the next version (4.24 etc(.

      Please hotfix soon.. The engine instantly crashes if selecting the "grass" node within a landscape material....

        Far Shadows are giving strange behaviour in UE4.23. Getting +5ms shadow depth hit with default 300k Far Shadow Distance (Cascade Count 1), only get normal when setting distance to 800k. But still worried if performance stays stable. Without Far Shadows, the shadow depth is just bit over 2ms.

            Actually the version number (4.23.1) exists on Github since September 9: https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealE...4b13a884750d75
            Don't know why it has not been publicly announced and pushed on the launcher.
            And since then, there are lots of fixes after that on the 4.23 branch too.

              They usually update the version number much before they actually publish a release, just to prepare it. There are still issues in the tracker waiting to be fixed in 4.23.1 (https://issues.unrealengine.com/issu...nt=&sort=votes), and most of the other issues for 4.23.1 had been resolved after September 9, so that date does not indicate that they have planned to release it that day.

                  Resolution Issues since 4.23

                  For some reason the game starts on a bigger resolution than set. Even the SetRes commands seem bugged and wont apply the right resolution. There is a serious issue with this, as it's currently breaking the game. Can someone give some insight on this? Many thanks in advance.

                  To reproduce simply start the third person template for example and try packaging with different resolutions, full screen and windowed, large and small. Lots of issues.

                  Ok it seems that the SteamVR Plugin is causing this issue, if you have the plugin disabled it works as intended, however with it enabled it messes up all resolutions. This is a big issue for my VR development atm

                        i seem to be having problems with the blender28 fbx skeletal imports... perhaps someone in UE could give them a call, being as... just my two cents (smile)...

                              The 4.23.1 hotfix corrupts the DeleteAsset and DeleteLoadedAsset functions. Now they freeze the editor for a couple of minutes before finally deleting assets.
                              Before this hotfix, it worked properly, deleting assets quickly.
                              Is it a known issue? Was there any change in 4.23.1 hotfix that migh have caused this...?
                              I'll try to make a repro project and report it.

                              Update: It happens when trying to delete assets created by the Merge Actors tool (meshes and materials). I'll investigate it further... Before the hotfix, it worked correctly.
                              Update 2: It seems to happen only when LoadAsset is used first, and the loaded asset is kept in a variable! Deleting assets without it works correctly.
                              I can't reproduce this in a new project though, so there must be something interfering with my current project.
                              Update 3: I've fixed it in my project by not storing the LoadAsset output reference in a variable before deleting assets. I haven't managed to reproduce this in a new project though, so it must have been something specific to my setup.
