Xcode 9.3/iOS 11.3 - Verticle Plains

I noticed one of the big updates with iOS 11.3 and xCode 9.3 was the ability to recognize vertical planes.
Is this something that Unreal will be able to utilize out of the box or will an update be needed on the Unreal side?
I’m just not familiar how the SDKs talk with each other.
