Would a collision model around the player work for clipping?

Namely, to prevent people from putting their heads into places where their heads should not be going (due to positional tracking)? Or would you just need to create a larger collision model (say, 3m away from the object) so that the player cannot get close enough to put their heads into the wall?

Even then, let’s say the “object” in question is an NPC (or another player), how would you handle the collision model for that?
