Worldtometerscale + SteamVR Asynchronous reprojection = big bug

This is already reported as UE-59712 for v4.19 and still not fixed. Is there any advice as to where to mess with the source so I can try to fix it myself? I need miniature mode for a game and this is creating a complete roadblock. Essentially reprojected frames do not keep worldtometerscale into account. It’s just the default 100. So you will see the screen completely changing, going back and forth whenever a frame is reprojected.
