World/mesh sizes and impact on performance

So i’m making an rts. And i’ve been talking to the guy who makes the meshes about the sizes he has to output it(he uses blender)
And MY thought was lets make them a bit smaller than the base character model. So that when i make a huge “fill world” map that we can fill it up with more buildings and units.

Am i thinking completely wrong and am i actualy doing more harm than good?

Because now i’m looking at the shadows… and ya. Maiby i made a mistake :stuck_out_tongue:
