What are best practices and workflows for modeling houses with exterior and interior from blue prints and elevation drawings? Should every thing be a box? What to do if literally nothing in the drawings are modular? Should I be modeling walls in UE4 instead of Maya? How to save lightmap space? Any advice on this topic would be useful.

-import the elevation drawing and then start modelling it with boxes (you can also use other shapes) -> e.g here is a tutorial how it is done in blender: ?v=nVqzu4JGwx0
-when that’s the case dont use any modular parts and just create everything individually
-no, always do it in your 3d tool -> the BSP brushes from the UE4 are just good for prototyping and not for the final mesh
