Widget cast to playerstate

I’ve tried multipl ways to cast to player state as I use a bool in playerstate to associate with team.

Get player controller->get playerstate->cast to my playerstate->set bTeamb true and I get no casting error. But on respawn there is no change. It also appears if I set authority the server will not run the command.

Not sure what the problem might be. I’ve done it though key bind from level, character blue print and umg to no success.

Thoughts?

Oh and I’ve passed it though custom events for client request->server request with replication first on client and then run on server.

Found a way to get what I needed… I call to the character blue print to run a function to run on server to switch playerstate bool for team then kill n respawn player
