The image Flak shared mentions them having to prioritize what to give placement too because there are too many maps to give placement to everything that comes out.
This article also shares what they look for to consider a map innovative (verse, using devices in unique ways). At the session they mentioned you can’t just do things like add 100 triggers to the map and consider it complex.
I recommend finding ways to make it unique with the systems and they haven’t said this part but… I also believe having strong visual design helps. The way I see it, if you put effort in and it will be rewarded. If you copy a basic map set-up or rush something out it probably wont do much.
