Why isn't 3Dconnexion supported?

I’m about to buy one space pilot pro. Looks like it’s compatible wit 3d-Coat and Blender. But so far looks like it’s not yet useful for Unreal Engine4… that’s too bad, it’s not recommended that we try an implementation using the SDK because the view input code is hardcoded for mouse input and any pull request will be rejected.

Do you have an estimated time for this integration? Any beta at least?

I guess removing the hardcode and let the community implement the plug-in would be a faster way to go. This request is not even on the roadmap!
