Why is the cine camera the only camera with depth of field blur?

A while back, around version 4.20, you used to be able to apply a depth of field blur to standard in-game cameras. Why was this feature depreciated, and then strangely replaced with the cine camera, which is specifically not meant to be used in-game? Is there a reason the dev team is disincentivizing in-game DoF blur, even though it looks seriously great? If anything, I feel like DoF blur should be easier to implement in-game, not harder. In seriousness though, if someone could connect the dots for me on this, it’d be appreciated.
