why is RC so slow?

hi all

i am new to RC but have used ContextCapture lots.

i am running a 1800 image job on a AWS g2x8large (32 core i7 + 4x GPU) and it is has taken 9 hours for alignment with estimated completion at 14 hours.
RC normally runs much faster for smaller jobs.

what have i done wrong?

What sort of alignment settings have you used there ? VMs are always a bit slower as same CPU in ordinary PC ( aprox 15-20 % slower ). 1800 imgs on i7 6core is done in approx 45-60 minutes.

i am using default settings…literally i didnt touch anything.

any ideas?
