Why is pitch rotation of my character not replicating when I stand on a Blueprint Actor?

Context:
my character is a sphere kind of like an emoji which is why i have pitch rotation enabled.

Puzzle:
when standing on a static mesh, my characters pitch and yaw rotation replicates when standing on top of it. But, when i put this static mesh into a blueprint, and put this blueprint actor into the world, my characters pitch rotation ceases to replicate when i stand on top of this blueprint actor, but my yaw rotation works fine.
