Why is changing landscape causing map corruption?

When adjusting paint layer info, editor will on occasion crash, and then corrupts map file. This has happened a couple of times for one member of our team. map afterwards is unable to open. If using good source control practices, this is issue can be diminished in frustration, but might cause tears in later development. Will post a crash report if it happens again.

Thanks for your report. Please do include a crash log if it happens again, as well as system specs and OS version for system on which this happens. If you could also give us repro steps for crash (as noted [here][1]), that would also be helpful.

Thanks for follow up. We were experiencing these issues at same time we were porting over UE3 landscape assets, which is a process we successfully managed and have closed. We have had no such trouble with landscape since then (could have also been parallel with being green to UE4). Thanks!
