I have looked at the source code of the importer and to be fair… It is way long beyond salvaging. The fact that I still cannot efficiently import something as trivial as a a mesh hierarchy is simply unbelieveable. I also consider a dxDiag as a mediocre excuse attempt at delaying real help. Directx has nothing to do with this, this is literally parsing the fbx and converting it to a native unreal format. It’s not something that works on gpu, it is obviously taking place on CPU. So I still have no idea what the author of the post was trying to point at. Mediocre.
