Injecting virtual texturing, into the current rendering pipeline, sounds like a fairly large undertaking and therefore I’d assume it won’t be finished any earlier than 4.19 or 4.20

I agree. But I’m hoping they may have started working on this already. Maybe 4.19… Who knows.
