Would it be possible to see a PNG from this shot of the A and B slides? The jpeg is makes it hard to judge, but to me it appears to be a bit darker the otherwise better result. This might only be the tiny side effect of your approach for an adaptive sharpening, you just have to find a way to explain it with the fancy equations
