What is wrong with asking a simple question here?

SDK Verification failed. Would you like to attempt the Launch On anyway?

This is for Unreal Engine 5. I could not find the version tag in the dropdown, which seems to be part and parcel with my problems with this software.

It doesn’t matter if I try to Launch On anyway, as it doesn’t work, and I don’t know why, or where the error is or how I’m supposed to fix it. YouTube has many videos on setting it up, but they are all out of date almost immediately. Where do I go to get actual answers? I spend more time trying to format the questions here than I do trying to build anything.

So perhaps you should overthink how you ask.
For example this thread holds no real information at all what your real problem is.

Post exakt questions with screenshots and detailed information and you get answers.

Furthermore read the documentation of the Unreal Engine BEFORE posting in the forums. Especially at the start the documentation can help a lot.

Don’t watch to OLD YouTube videos.

Make sure that you understand that diving into such an engine is hard, needs lots of time and in most cases you will not succed completely without help.

Install this,

That’s what it tells you to do in the output log isnt it? next time you get an error read the output log first. Save yourself the trouble of posting in the forums and waiting 3 days for an answer. Just a suggestion
