The Shadows here and in other places look really bad and pixelated. It seems it’s only on my side, since my peers don’t have this issue. Also it wasn’t like this just earlier today. Is this something I can fix or am I just stuck with it?
Thank you for your report! Can you please re-post using the “New Issue” option on the Issues and Bug Reporting forums? Posts with this feature are connected directly into our development team so we can quickly get to them!

Hey, I don’t know much about this, but I know you can soften shadows using this parameter
Otherwise I think you should play with your light settings and see if something changes, but your shadows are really string.
Also why does the light have a cross sign next to it ?
Thanks for replying! I will try this, it’s just weird that my friends don’t have this issue. I’m not sure why its crossed out. It just does that when I duplicate lights. Had the same thing with another map and it was fine, so I don’t think that’s the issue.
Is this only happening in UEFN or when actually running a game or both?
If only UEFN check your Scalability settings (it may be reduced, like you’re running on mobile for example with less capabilities).
It’s in both. I think I might be getting a visual bug for fortnite? I don’t see why I’d have this issue but others don’t.
hmm, I’m gonna try and play a random creative game and see if I have the same issue. If that’s the case, there’s smt wrong with my fortnite.
Doesn’t seem to help unfortunately, I think I’m just getting some weird visual bug.
There doesn’t seem to be shadow issues in other creative games, but I couldn’t find much games that had a lot of shadows
If you’re using custom meshes, maybe have a look at the shadow properties of the actor/mesh and also material.
As you said it, it’s weird that it happens to you, so there might be something different you made somewhere. Even though it can be a bug, maybe you can still fix it by yourself
So I realized that when I hide point lights, the shadows go back to normal. Its possible that I have too many lights around? I’m gonna check in my changes with my friends and see if they will have the same issue as me. If they don’t, it’s definitely just my side. If they do have the same issue though, I think I just have to decrease the amount of lights on the map.
Hmm, yeah I have a mix of spotlights and point lights. In that area where the pic is taken, I hid all the point lights and kept the spotlights and the shadows looked fine. Maybe the shadows made by the point lights and spotlights are colliding in some way, causing it to look like this? Well, I’ll find out once I check in changes with my friends.
Ok so its definitely just my side so it seems to just be some visual bug.
Wdym just your side, it only happens on your computer ?
yeah, I checked in changes with my friends and they have no issue. Not sure if my computer is bugging or my editor changed a setting by itself? But yeah, it’s just me
Just out of curiosity, you have an up to date NVIDIA gpu ?
I actually did do that and nothing changed
