What is the right way to properly link a dynamically created Box Collision to an overlap event?

I’m dynamically creating a Box Collision, and wiring up an OnActorBeginOverlap event:

This works properly, but I’m not entirely sure why. As far as I can tell, there’s nothing linking the Box Collision to that event. If I were just looking at the blueprint, I’d read that as “As soon as an actor begins to overlap something, fire this event”.

Am I missing something, or is this somehow correct?
