I am not saying specifically that people in this thread are whining, as this isn’t the only thread, or the only community, where the game has received a lot of attention, as well as a lot of hate. You’re setting up a false dichotomy by stating that the game is objectively broken - either you’re right, or I am wrong, and there can be no further discussion in that regard. Oddly enough, some people like it based on the steam reviews.
I’m not defending the game, I just don’t see the point in pulling out the pitchforks. Games like this have always been made, and will always be made, yet a lot of developers are taking this as a to stand on a podium and look down on this game and its creator.
I don’t understand this logic, and I don’t know why this is a path you would pursue given your disdain of Accidental Runner, but go for it. Is that the type of developer, or person, you want to be? Is that the game you really want to make?
When developers take this route, gamers remember - it’s one of the reasons I don’t pre-order, I don’t kickstart, and I don’t greenlight unless I’ve had some hands on experience with the game. Too many false promises, too many broken, and unfinished games in my steam library.
I’m of the believe that people should really be focusing their time and their energy toward creating something , rather than tearing something down that is not.
