vram / texture streaming

hey guys,
I have a very basic question about vram usage / texture streaming…
Let’s say i have 4 fully textured rooms, every room is textured completely different… Is the vram usuage always the size of all 4 rooms “the whole scene textures” or just for the room i’m in or let’s better for the view ?
From my understanding when it comes to polys/tris only the one are rendered which i can see… Is it the same way with textures vor the vram ?

According to my knowledge all the textures are loaded in vRAM when you load a particular scene.

Really ? Interesting why textures are loaded into vram when they are basically not used in a particular moment…
