VR Oculus rift C++ character, Height is messed up

I’m followint a gamedev.tv tutorial on how to make a vr game with c++, but everytime I run a vr preview my HMD is 1m above the floor. When I am sitting down I am on the floor. Does anyone know how to resolve this by chance in C++?
