VR Movement & Template

Whats up all,

Am building an FPS/ casual adventure game, and have migrated to using the VR template in my project. I thought it had a great cross platform solution to teleporting and maneuverability. However, on Oculus, I recently received a review stating that the movement method was terrible, and needed to be the following:

rotating the player should require flicking the thumbstick left or right to quickly rotate 45 degrees left or right respectively like most other games on oculus.

Am considering building this type of movement option into a settings selection. when i play robo recall, their movement technique seems fine, and seems to match the template approach. maybe it’s a design issue that i can resolve with other elements in the game, but wanted to hear others thoughts about their experience with the VR template on the Oculus platform.
