Vive controllers don't appear

Hi,
I have set up a VR scene according to this: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Platforms/SteamVR/QuickStart/2/index.html
And then set up the controllers according to this: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Platforms/VR/MotionController/

but the controllers are not visible. Any ideas? I can look around in the scene just fine, and as soon as I stop the preview (returning to the vive menu) the controllers reappear.

Can you post a screenshot of the pawns component tab and also in the pawns viewport zoom up to the controllers and get a screenshot of that also.

I missed the step on overriding the game mode… it worked, but my controllers (a custom mesh) worked very strangely, they were located a meter over my head, and although they translated ok, rotations were about a pivot another meter up.
I’ve gotten the VR Template to run now, and that’s fine, so I guess I will take it apart and see what the differences are…

When the controllers move strangely and are a meter or so from their real world location it can be a couple of things. 1 you might have created a character instead of a pawn. A character has movement code which doesn’t work well with steam VR at all. 2 you added something else to your pawn that is messing with steam VR. If you are still having problems use the snipping tool in windows to take a screenshot of your pawn.
