Vfx material - get meshes overlap edge

How can I get the material like a rib. Given is the intersection with other objects?

you’ll want to look into the depth fade node. should give you what that screenshot shows with some work.

I can not imagine how it can be used :frowning:
The scene depth will not permanent edge intersections.

you are correct that it won’t be permanent and may look wrong from some angles as it is a screen based effect, but as far as i know it is currently the only way to get intersections between meshes and translucent materials.
distance in the depth fade is set to something fairly low like 5.
