Uv's arent showing up correctly in engine

Hello, I’m creating a simple scene in which im creating a building - I’ve been having an issue lately where my textures arent aligning with the uvs on the model and are giving me a black bar - even on simple plane meshes - This is the wall mesh ( simple plane, nothing complicated) - The UV’s in maya - what the imported texture in engine looks like ( simple block colour over the uv) - this is what the end results look like

I have no idea what happens between when i texture it and when it goes into engine, ive been creating textures and assets for UE4 for a while and never encountered this problem, if i had to guess anything i would say it might be photoshop, i switched to CC 2015 photoshop and thats when i started having problems

any idea what could be the problem?
