Using Makehuman animation with skeletons from UE

I’ve been reading/watching some tutorials on using Makehuman to create … well human animations for Unreal Engine.
One thing that surprised me is that it always shows how to create skeleton, or use imported motion capture.
So, I was wondering: isn’t there a way to simply import a makehuman animation, and use it with, say, the unreal third person character, or any of the animation packages on the market, without having to create my own skeleton/motion?
